Frequently Asked Questions | LAEX TAN
We all have those all important questions that we need to find answers for before making a purchase so we thought we’d create this page especially for you with our most frequently asked questions.
1.) How long is delivery?
All orders that are placed before 3pm on a weekday will be sent out for next working day delivery (NL only). For example: if you place your order at 10.30am on a Monday, you will receive your order on Tuesday. If you place your order on Friday at 11am, you will receive your order on the following Monday (NL only).
International deliveries take between 3-5 working days, depending on the country.
2.) What sets LAEX TAN solutions apart from other solutions on the market?
Our Spray Tan Solution range is mango infused and also contain Aloe Vera to nourish the skin, leaving our customers skin feeling smooth, soft and moisturised after using our solutions. We also have 7 different variants, including a Fast Tan solution to cater to all skin types. Our solutions are alcohol and paraben free, non streaking and fast developing, making it a perfect all round solution to use.
3.) Is the clear/bridal solution hard to use?
Our baby powder infused Clear/Bridal Spray Tan Solution is specially formulated to prevent staining on clothing and bedding and when spraying, you will not see a guide colour. Although we do not like to associate “wet” with “tan”, you can see where you are spraying as you will see the skin glisten once it has been tanned. Once you have used it once, we are positive that you will feel confident to use it again.
4.) Can you use fake tan whilst pregnant?
Almost every pregnant lady yearns for that glow during pregnancy and you’ll be pleased to know that spray tanning and self tanning are considered as safe methods to use. Its probably never crossed your mind before, no matter how much you have tanned in the past, but it’s worth understanding how fake tanning actually works. The main active ingredient in a tanning solution and most self tanners is a substance called Dihydroxyacetone, more commonly known as DHA. The DHA bronzes the skin and interacts with the amino acids on your epidermis (top layer of skin), which means it isn’t absorbed in to the body. Your body will have changed so much during pregnancy, including fluctuations in your hormones too, making your skin more sensitive and prone to allergic reaction. It is sensible to do a patch test before using any fake tanning product, even if it’s your absolute favourite and you’ve used it hundreds of times before.
5.) What is the best solution to buy?
Whilst we offer different tans for different skin tones and each individual has their own preference when it comes to their tan, it’s really hard for us to say. However, our biggest seller is our 10% which is suitable for fair to medium skin tones. Our 6% and 8% solutions are more golden toned and our 10%, 12%, 14% and 16% all have double bronzers, so they are more of a deep brown colour once developed.
6.) How much solution should I be using per tan?
In our Award Winning Training Academy, we teach all students to use around 50ml of spray tan solution per body. Unlike other tanning solutions on the market, you should only need to apply one coat of LAEX TAN for every tan you do. You should expect to get around 19-20 tans out of a litre bottle of LAEX TAN.
7.) Once I have completed my spray tanning course, am I qualified to tan and start my own business?
Absolutely! Once you have completed our Level 1 Spray Tan Training Course, you will be certified and able to set up your own spray tanning business or work in a salon or whatever it is you are planning on doing with your qualification. We offer free post training support, from marketing, to branding and getting your first 10 clients. We also have online support groups where you can talk to other students that have completed our spray tanning course and/or use LAEX TAN. We take pride in our people and ensure we pass our wealth of knowledge and experience on to all of our students, making you the best technician you can be.
8.) How do I look after my skin once I have had a spray tan or self tanned?
It’s really important to make sure you follow the after care given to you by your technician or that’s on your bottle of self tan, especially within the first 8 hours of tanning. Once you have showered, we recommend you use our Gradual Tanning Moisturiser daily as it is packed with natural botanicals to soothe and soften the skin, whilst maintaining a natural, streak free tan.
9.) How long does the tan last once opened?
We always dispatch fresh stock and we are happy to say our solutions have an unopened shelf life of 12 months and 9 months once opened. Our retail products will have their own shelf life and that will be clearly displayed on the labels of the individual product.
10.) Where is the best place to store my tan?
All solutions must be stored in a cool, dark area and not exposed to natural light. The lid should always be kept on the bottle to avoid oxidation, which would cause the tan to deteriorate.
